Breaks my heart how hard the world has become for Millennials (and as for Millennial transgender people like my youngest, sometimes I feel I simply can't bear it)
The rise of AI slop and the consequent crashing ruin of creative people's lives and livelihoods feels unstoppable - I wish I had any faith left in the future (other than the reflection that (in the UK at least) it's predominantly my peers (the old, Boomers) who are hoarding the wealth and property and supporting the Right wing in politics and sooner or later we'll all die out . The Left Behind Series terrified me. I've been following much of what you write about, but always learn something knew and gain a new perspective and analysis from you. Grateful for your voice!
Perhaps it really is different this time when some of the leading edge vectors of this toxic meme are in the corridors of power, especially in the case of Pete Hegseth the minister of war who openly supports this death-saturated pyschic numbness and some of the Trumpen-Fuhrers ambassadors in the Middle East are very enthusiastic promoters of the "jesus-is-coming-back" apocalyptic "rapture" meme too.
